Hopping on the Liquid Lipstick Train
When liquid lipsticks first popped on the scene, I was a little skeptical (and a little scared) to embrace them. I'd heard about how drying and flakey they could be, and I didn't feel like putting my lips through that mayhem or having to worry about touching up throughout the day. I've enjoyed the Kat Von D versions (which are quite drying), and I've given the drugstore versions a try (which aren't quite up the par with the higher end versions). My favorite formula I've tried thus far? Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipsticks.
Sephora recently started carrying the line, so I picked up Pure Hollywood (the top shade in both pictures above) and Dolce (the bottom shade in both pictures above). They're crazy pigmented and beautiful on the lips; Pure Hollywood is a very cool-toned nude, and Dolce is a slightly warmer coral. The formula lasts all day and is so comfortable that I feel like I could wear these day in and day out without having to give my lips a break (like I do with the dryer formulas). The ABH versions remain slightly tacky and sticky, but somehow they're incredibly long-lasting. Needless to say, the ABH liquid lipstick train has taken off, and while I'm totally late to the station, I'm hopping on the train. Better late than never!
