Getting that #OleGlow
I've been a longtime fan of the Ole Henriksen Pure Truth Youth Activating Oil (I used it all last summer as my only moisturizer, and it was fantastic) and the Ole Henriksen Pure Truth Melting Cleanser. I had the chance to give the Power Bright system a try this past week. Here are the results:
The Power Bright system claims to be brightening system with an unprecedented 25 percent vitamin C concentrate to deliver maximum radiance in as little as one use. I only had one set of pods to try out and noticed my skin was quite smooth the next day after giving it a try. Maximum radiance in one use? That might be a stretch, but based on my results with other Ole products, I wouldn't be surprised if there was quite a boost in radiance after using the six sets of pods that come in one package.
The first treatment is an exfoliating one . . . and boy, is it exfoliating. My skin isn't sensitive, but the exfoliating treatment was almost too much for me. It really was effective at smoothing my skin, but if you have sensitive skin, beware that it might be a little extreme. The second and third treatments were much gentler and were quite refreshing after stripping my skin with the scrub. I felt some slight tightness in my skin after washing off the last of the treatment and then moisturizing, but it wasn't an uncomfortable tightness.
All in all, it's a fun, luxurious treatment to do if you're having an at-home spa night and want to treat yourself. I'd like eventually to purchase the full set of pods and use it consistently over the course of six weeks to see how bright my skin can become.
