Life Lately

Surprise! After a nearly two-month hiatus from blogging, I decided to take the plunge back into the online world of Re-Mix-Her. A lot has happened over the past two months, and if you haven't been following along on my Instagram, you might be wondering where I've been.

Let's rewind to December. My last post was December 6 about my new top-shelf foundation (which I still stand by and use because it's that good). Life started getting pretty busy for me in early December, what with a fairly new relationship to balance with old friendships, Christmas parties and shenanigans, flying to Utah to be with my family for the Christmas holiday, and lots of travel. I fully intended to hop back on the blogging train once January hit, but I realized time-wise I wasn't quite ready to dive back into full-fledged five-days-a-week posting again.

Fast forward to mid-January when my boyfriend, Brian, and I took a long weekend trip to New York City (my first time in the city!), and it was truly a magical trip. I loved exploring the city, but my favorite moment by far was when Brian got down on one knee in the middle of Times Square and asked me to marry him! Of course I said yes, and a woman from Argentina captured it all on Instagram video.

Needless to say, since then we've been diving into wedding planning and are planning on a wedding in October of this year. In the midst of life's current busyness and chaos (which is such an exciting time as we look forward to the future), I've given a lot of thought to what I want to do with Re-Mix-Her. I just don't think time-wise I can post five times a week with one YouTube video a week at the moment . . . so I'm pulling back the reins to something much more doable: posting three times a week. Content will still be very much the same—perhaps with a few wedding updates every now and then.

Thank you for sticking around and for continuing to support my blogging hobby. I'm looking forward to what life has to offer in this new year, and I hope you'll journey with me!
