Sleeping in my own comfy bed felt like such a luxury last night after 10 days of camping. Now, I did stay in a pop-up camper for those 10 days instead of hardcore tent camping, but everybody knows that when it’s not your own bed, it’s just not the same. I also enjoyed getting dressed this morning, knowing that I wouldn’t be getting dirty and sweaty later on in the afternoon. The little things in life…. Here’s the breakdown:
Tee: Garage sale (American Eagle)
Sandals: Garage sale (Lauren by Ralph Lauren)
Scarf: Garage sale
Watch: Garage sale
Bracelets: Garage sale
It’s pretty crazy to think that the most expensive piece of my outfit were the $5 shorts from H&M. Everything else I bought at a garage sale, although my friend bought my silver bangles from a garage sale for me (thanks, Anna!). I know I raved about these shorts in a previous post, but I seriously love that even though they look like a miniskirt, they’re actually shorts. They have cute gold buttons on the sides, which I wish I could show. Any suggestions as to what would be cute to tuck into the shorts to show off their details? I also love shoes that draw your eye to them, which all started with the ankle boot a couple of years ago. Sometimes shoes like these seem too heavy for the outfit, but that’s kind of the point. It adds a little edge and unexpectedness to the ensemble that actually pulls it all together.
It’s crazy to believe, but two weeks from today I’ll be packing up to head back to school. I can’t believe how quickly the summer has flown by. That means only two more weeks of garage sales; hopefully I’ll be able to find some brown, leather riding boots before school begins.
Oh, it’s also Tumblr Tuesday! Feel free to recommend my blog!
