Hi.

I feel like all I need is a boat and maybe a pop of red; I would then officially be all set to go on a cruise or just to sail the open seas. Unfortunately, we have no seas or oceans around us, although the humidity is 200 percent down here, which makes it feel like you’re swimming when you’re outside. I guess that’ll do for now. Here’s the breakdown:

Blouse: Jones New York
Skirt: Gap
Sandals: Old Navy
Bag: Goodwill
Watch: Garage sale
Ring: Charming Charlie
Bracelets: Saver’s/TJ Maxx

What? Did she wear this to the office even though her blouse and her skirt are printed? Why, yes, I did! The key to mixing prints while still making them office-appropriate is to keep one of them very subtle, like the stripe in my skirt. You thought I was wearing a white skirt until you saw the close-up picture, didn’t you? Didn’t you?

This weekend, a friend from school is visiting Sarah and me, so we’re going to have some fun eating, shopping, and watching fireworks along the river. Did I mention that it’s a long weekend for me? No work on Monday!

Happy Independence Day!
