Being a bad blogger

I want to apologize for being such a bad blogger/blogging friend this past week. Because of my downed computer, I haven’t been able to respond to comments or spend a whole lot of time checking out my usual daily reads. Hopefully my computer will be up and running before Wednesday, so I’ll be back to my usual routine once that’s fixed. In the meantime … here’s the breakdown:

Patterned Blouse: New York & Company via Goodwill
Khaki Blouse (underneath): Gap via Goodwill
Denim: Elle via Kohl’s
Sandals: Banana Republic
Bag: Goodwill
Necklace: Gift from my mom
Watch: Garage sale
Bracelets:Forever 21/TJ Maxx/DIY/Garage sale/My grandma’s

One of the many tricks I’ve learned while blogging is that layering is key to giving a look depth. In this particular instance, I chose to pair these two blouses together, but another blouse layered underneath (in brown gingham, for instance) would have provided even more depth and a little more pop to the look. Even a blazer would have been a good layering piece to add (although I wore my leather jacket on top once the photos were snapped).
