Hi.

Blocking color

All this talk of spring, colored denim and color-blocking must have gotten to me because I have felt like a walking rainbow the past few days. I’m normally a neutral type of gal. Don’t believe me? Check out the gallery, particularly last February’s posts, and I think you’ll see that this change in color is very different for me. I’m blaming spring. Here’s the breakdown:

Sweater: LOFT
Blouse: Garage sale
Pants: Gap
Flats: Enzo Angiolini via Goodwill
Bag: Brahmin (c/o Vogue)
Watch: Garage sale
Bracelets: LOFT/My grandma’s/Salvation Army

Color-blocking is a trend I didn’t really go for last spring, but because of my sudden obsession with finding colored pants and not finding any suitable ones so far, I reached for my slouchier and only colored pants. Spring and sunshine have been on my mind, so pairing these pants with my favorite summer sweater seemed only natural. I love that the orange in the pants doesn’t completely correspond with the peaches and pinks in the sweater. Hello, color-blocking.
