Hi.

Busy as a bee

While I titled my post, I realized that you might think I was inspired by the stripes in my shirt to name my post after a similarly-striped insect. Not so, my friends. It just so happens that these past few days have been hectic as all get-out, and I’m feeling a little overwhelmed (like most others) at the beginning of the semester. Here’s the breakdown:

Striped Tee: Old Navy via Saver’s
Gingham Blouse: Gap via Garage sale
Denim: Gap
Loafers: Bass via Salvation Army
Watch: Garage sale
Bracelets: DIY/My grandma’s
Lipstick: Estee Lauder’s Melon

On the mornings of stressful days, I tend to reach for comfort items, which usually include stripes of some sort and the colors brown, navy and olive green. These are, as I’ve mentioned in many other posts, staples in my closet. But who can blame me? When I’m running low on energy, I can always count on these items to look put-together without much thought or effort on my part. Thankfully, the weekend will be here at 3:00 for me.

I put some new boots on
