Hi.

I'm Caitlin Wilson, a twenty-something midwesterner with a penchant for neutrals, donuts, and makeup. Thanks for reading!

Colors and comfort

Sometimes having pictures taken of yourself can be a little awkward, particularly when other people are around. Luckily, my roommate and I can usually catch the quiet times on campus when everyone is either in class or in the dorms. However, sometimes (like in the above picture) you just can’t help it when people are coming toward you as you’re getting your pictures taken, and all you can do is smile. Luckily, the person walking toward me happened to be a friend, which made it slightly less awkward … but only slightly. Here’s the breakdown:

Sweater: American Eagle via Garage sale
Denim: Elle via Kohl’s
Rain Boots: Goodwill
Hat: Handmade
Necklace: Charlotte Russe
Rings: American Eagle/Charming Charlie

During rainy days, I don’t usually feel like putting much thought into my outfits, which is why this is a fairly simple outfit. A slouchy, striped sweater and a slouchy hat mean comfort to me. In keeping with my colorful kick this week, though, I mixed mustard yellow and teal while keeping the rest of the outfit neutral. Who knew I’d suddenly be so into colors?
