Unplanned yet fruitful shopping excursions are the best. Finding a great deal that you didn’t expect to find is the equivalent of being smacked in the face by a five-dollar bill that was blowing away in the wind (which just happened to my friend, by the way…I didn’t believe it, either, but it really happened). But more on the deals after the breakdown:
Tank: Old Navy
Necklace: Gift from my grandma from Hawaii
Bag: Garage sale (The Sak)
My mom and I headed to the city to run two errands that turned into a couple of detours in the mall that included H&M and Banana Republic. I’d had my eye on these chic tie-waist, pleated shorts from H&M for a few months but decided that on my college budget, $25 for a pair of shorts was a little too much. Luckily for me, H&M was having a $5 sale on their clearance, and I found these similar shorts! Don’t they look like a skirt, not shorts? I love that. They’re a little sheer, which means the spandex comes out of my closet. You can’t see it in the picture, but they have two gold buttons on both sides. I love them.
The real deal of the day happened at Banana Republic. I mostly just go in there with my mom to drool over the beautiful clothes, shoes, and jewelry they carry. On the sale shoe rack, they had some really cute shoe,s except they all seemed to be size 10. Until I found a pair of strappy sandals in my size that were $25, not including the addition 40% off sale they had going on; I consider them an investment, a very inexpensive but amazing quality investment. Needless to say, they are sitting on my bed right now so I can just stare at them. No worries, my Tumblr friends, they will be in a post very soon. Beautiful.
Garage sales all day today and tomorrow; I’ll be sure to keep you updated on all the deals I’ll (hopefully) find!
