One of my New Year’s resolutions is to keep in contact with others the old-fashioned way: snail mail. Nothing is quite as special as a handwritten note from someone. After eyeing some notecards (with the Eiffel Tower and an intricate border) at TJ Maxx, I made up my mind to make some of my own. They’re simple yet thoughtful, just the way a handwritten note should be.
A roller stamp or a border punch
Martha Stewart adhesive/ball point glue pen
First cut cardstock down to 4x6" rectangles and then gave each card a border, either with a roller stamp or a border punch. Use a Cricut or punches to cut out an assortment of designs, like owls, fleur de lys, bows and trees. I found some glitter paper in the craft drawer to add a little sparkle to the punch-outs. If you don’t have a Cricut, Martha Stewart has some great punches that would be ideal for notecards. Then use the adhesive pen to glue the punch-outs to the cards.
