Sometimes I get asked how I pick out my outfits each day. Typically, I have one piece I want to wear and build the rest of my outfit around that piece. Take this sweater, for instance. My initial urge was to wear camel wide-leg pants and wedge combat boots, but after much deliberation and half of my closet pulled out, I went with the choice in the pictures. Here’s the breakdown:
Sweater: Goodwill (Lands’ End)
Gingham Blouse: Garage sale (Gap)
Trousers: Goodwill (Liz Claiborne)
Bag: Garage sale (Coach)
Mixing prints has quickly become my go-to choice when it comes to adding interest to an outfit, and this play on prints and blues is up my alley. I really wanted to wear heels with this outfit, but these pants (that were clearly hemmed from the original length) just didn’t want heels to be worn with them. I hate fickle clothes.
