This past weekend was easily one of the most relaxing — a welcome break from my hectic last week. What makes today bearable is the fact that fall break begins on Thursday … so you may as well begin to prepare yourselves for the constant mentions of fall break for the next few days. Sheesh, you can’t blame a hard-working girl for being excited for a break every now and then. Here’s the breakdown:
Sweater: TJ Maxx
Skirt: Simply Vera by Vera Wang (Kohl’s)
Booties: Simply Vera by Vera Wang (Kohl’s)
Bag: Garage sale (Coach)
Necklace: American Eagle
Ring: Banana Republic
Now that we’re officially into the 60s (and hopefully staying there), I’ve decided to pull my cashmere sweaters out of their special place and put them to good use. Browns and blacks are the ideal neutrals to pair against a background of gorgeous fall colors, and with my wedge booties, my outfit leans more toward the edgy side. A chunky (and extremely heavy) cocktail ring finishes off the look.
Looking to remix this outfit? Go for a more girly look. Swap the booties for a pair of high-heeled mary-janes, and forget the cashmere sweater in lieu of a sparkly gold tank with a satin tuxedo blazer on top.
