Daily: Hey, Mom, I Got My Picture Taken Today

I had my last school pictures taken yesterday for the yearbook. While it was sad knowing this would be the last time this would happen, I wanted what I wore to be memorable. After all, if I look at the yearbook when I’m 75 and remember my senior year of college, I want to remember how much fun I had dressing up for class each day. I can guarantee these pictures turned out better than my third-grade pictures with my crimped hair and glasses that practically reached my hairline. Here’s the breakdown:

Blouse: Nine West via Goodwill
Jeans: Old Navy
Brogues: Steve Madden via eBay
Scarf: Borrowed from my roommate
Bag: Garage sale
Ring: Ann Taylor LOFT
Nail Polish: CoverGirl’s Midnight Magic

My inspiration was matching tones, so I took colors from my blouse and incorporated them with my accessories. My teal scarf that’s really my roommate’s kept me warm in the ever-cooling Indiana weather. I love the way the ring and my navy nail polish don’t pull from exact color matches in my blouse but still manage to look good.
