Some trends I wish would stay forever, like military-inspired, menswear, color block and coral lips; others I wish would go away forever and never come back, like hammer pants, neon overload, grunge, and hippie-bohemian overload. Note that I said “overload” on a few of these items; these overload items are okay in doses, but when you fully embrace them, it becomes a little too much … at least for me. Here’s the breakdown:
Blouse: Garage sale
Sandals: Old Navy
Sunglasses: TJ Maxx (Steve Madden)
Ring: Banana Republic
Necklace: Garage sale
I’m not typically a matchy-matchy person, but my belt was dying to be worn, and I knew that I wanted to wear that skirt with that blazer. Sometimes, a compromise has to happen, so a little matchy-matchy (at least on top) was the order of the day. Isn’t the belt amazing, though? Only two dollars from Goodwill—can’t beat that!
Lately, I have been inspired by Olivia Palermo (if you haven’t heard me rave about her style before and if you haven’t looked her up yet, do it!), and lavender and army green seem to be something she would pair together, something that most people wouldn’t pair together. So I tried it today! Do you like it?
