In an effort to relax

So far, I’ve spent my break doing absolutely nothing. While I feel slightly guilty for not working on anything, I’ve decided that after a rough semester of learning to balance academics, friends and working as co-editor in chief of the school newspaper, doing nothing for a few days might be more than helpful in revving me up for my last semester of undergrad. Here’s the breakdown:

Blazer: American Eagle via TJ Maxx
Plaid Blouse: Isaac Mizrahi for Target via Garage sale
Denim: Old Navy
Boots: Target
Bracelets: Dillard’s/Garage sale
Watch: Garage sale
Necklace: Charlotte Russe

I managed to stock up on a few days of outfit photos so I could have the rest of the week “off” at home before getting in the full holiday swing of outfits over break. These photos were from Wednesday, when I was busy packing and preparing to head home for break.

I try so hard not to bring too much home every break, but as a personal-style blogger, I find it nearly impossible not to fill my car to the brim. Thus, Wednesday’s outfit had to consist of pieces that would pair well with other pieces I packed in my suitcase for break. I took a little preppy liberty with this outfit. Fear not, though, because next week, velvet and sequins (oh, and my new Brahmin bag) will overtake my wardrobe in preparation for the holidays.
