Gee, where did all that snow go, Caitlin? Well, the rain yesterday washed it all away, leaving the sidewalks at 7:30 in the morning extremely slippery. Is that why you wore your duck boots instead of your awesome new Simply Vera boots? Yes, I chose to spare my life today with practical, somewhat-safer duck boots that will carry me to class hopefully without taking a spill. Here’s the breakdown:
Jeggings: Elle (Kohl’s)
Duck Boots: Salvation Army
Bag: Salvation Army (Tignanello)
Necklaces: Gift/Garage sale
This cardigan is actually my mom’s that (duh!) she knit a couple of years ago. She wore it to church on Sunday but said something about it being too big on her and not liking it as much as she used to. I half-jokingly said, “Oh, I’ll take it,” at which point she very willingly gave it to me. So, Mom, thanks. It’s beautiful and super warm, and I love it.
This was the first outfit that came to mind when I thought about my new Simply Vera boots that I’ve been dying to wear. But alas, I’ll have to wait another day (maybe week) to wear them, considering it’s supposed to snow 3-5 inches soon. I feel like this outfit should be called in a spread called Country Winter. The cream, brown theme with the belt and the cabled cardigan just scream winter in the country to me. But in a good way, of course, otherwise I wouldn’t be wearing it. And considering I live in Indiana, I think it’s completely appropriate.
All I can think about are those new boots. I just want to wear them…
