Fall and winter are the best. Layers. Sweaters. Softness. Wraps. Seriously, do I need to say any more? The best part of garage saling in the summer is that I find basically my whole winter wardrobe there (which is quite evident in today’s breakdown). I know I’ve probably said this before, but I honestly can’t remember the last time I bought a sweater in a store. Here’s the breakdown:
Blouse: Garage sale (Ann Taylor LOFT)
Sweater Vest: Goodwill
Shorts: Garage sale
Flats: The Shoe Department
Ring: Banana Republic
Pins: Garage sale
As promised, today I wore my new flats and one of my new rings from Banana Republic. The houndstooth print on my flats kept on catching my eye all day as I walked. Bonus - they didn’t give me blisters.
I was never into the whole shorts-over-tights thing until last year when I bought a pair of wool tweed shorts at Gap, along with mustard yellow tights and blue tights. Then a shorts-over-tights girl was born. It was just warm enough today to wear it without regretting it, plus it was the perfect way to show off my new flats!
Aren’t my key pins so cool? I found them at a garage sale this summer, and I loved both of them. I felt my sweater vest was so plain, but I didn’t want to wear a necklace. The solution? My key pins!
