Daily: Military Leopard
What a weekend! I must say that weekends that include 7-hour-long Saturday classes make the week look like a piece of cake. I’m such a sucker for routines and schedules. It must be the type A personality in me. Here’s the breakdown:
Blouse: Garage sale
Skirt: Garage sale
Belt: Garage sale
Shoes: Banana Republic
I have been dying to wear this outfit since the summer when I bought these two pieces at garage sales, but I actually forgot about the ensemble until this morning. It was almost like finding a $20 bill in your pocket that you forgot you put in there.
I pulled inspiration from the Fall 2010 Dries Van Noten collection, which you can see here. Their mixture of military and leopard prints was brilliant, and I couldn’t wait to try it for myself. The skirt already had an olive tint to it, and I thought the belt was a good addition. I’m glad I did the belt. It just wouldn’t feel complete without it. Other than that, I did minimal accessories (correction: no accessories) and my favorite heels. I’d say the heels make up for the lack of accessories.
Have a great start to the week!
