Yesterday afternoon, I had the opportunity to take a break from preparing for the coming school year and to pick up my friend from the airport. My friends (Anna and Emily) and I had such a good time laughing as we drove from the airport to the restaurant to the mall. It was a momentary lapse in the midst of the craziness of preparations. Here’s the breakdown:
Blazer: Goodwill (Isaac Mizrahi for Target)
Gingham Blouse: Garage sale (Gap)
Skirt: Garage sale (Gap)
Sandals: Target (Isaac Mizrahi for Target)
Watch/Bag: Garage sale
Sunnies: Forever 21
This is one of my favorite outfits of the summer for three reasons. 1) I love the mix of navy and brown together–such a classic. 2) Each piece of the outfit is multifunctional and would work in a variety of other outfits. 3) The majority of my outfit was thrifted either at Goodwill or at a garage sale. I find great joy in knowing that the most expensive piece of my outfit (by far) were the $25 sandals I bought at Target five years ago. Can you tell I’m on a college budget?
