It has been raining nonstop here for the past five days. The only break we’ve had in the rain has been Monday afternoon’s sunshine. Campus has been muddy, which has really limited my shoe choice, and I feel like my umbrella has become more essential than my textbooks. On the bright side, though? The colors of fall really light up campus in the midst of the rain and clouds. Here’s the breakdown:
Blazer: Garage sale
Tee: Borrowed from my roommate
Jeans: Kohl’s (Elle)
Bag: Garage sale
Watch/Bracelets: Garage sale
My never-before-worn wool blazer that I bought last year at a garage sale came in handy yesterday at a men’s soccer game when it was pouring down rain. Not only did it keep me warm, but it kept me dry. Note to self: felted wool is even better than a rain jacket.
It’s a little hard to see, but the T-shirt I borrowed from my roommate has this pretty mesh-lace collar. I wish I could have shown it off more, but the weather was a little too cool just for a short-sleeved shirt. I covered up with my preppy blazer that I bought from an elderly woman; I was so excited when I found it because it was semi-similar to a Ralph Lauren blazer I had seen in stores. A little bit of prepster for a drastically reduced price? Yes, please.
