Hi.

I'm Caitlin Wilson, a twenty-something midwesterner with a penchant for neutrals, donuts, and makeup. Thanks for reading!

Daily: Skress . . . or Dirt

Remember how yesterday’s post was entitled “Perpetual Rain”? That rain is continuing throughout today. But because it’s Friday, I am determined to have a good attitude about the weekend. Of course, when Saturday comes and the high only get up to 53, I’ll be one happy cold-weather-loving chick. Here’s the breakdown:

Vest: Garage sale
Shirt: Gap
Dress (Worn as Skirt): Goodwill (Tucker for Target)
Boots: Jessica Simpson (Macy’s)
Necklace: Target
Bag: Brahmin (c/o Vogue)

I dub this look “skress” or “dirt” because I’m actually wearing a dress, but it looks like a skirt. I’m so tricky, right? I’ve actually been seeing a lot of bloggers doing this recently and decided to try it myself. The best thing about this is that if you have a muu-muu dress that absolutely has to be belted lest you look like a 95-year-old woman heading to bed, you can take the dress a different route by layering a shirt or a sweater over top of it. If only I had a cable sweater here … unfortunately, most of my cold-weather wardrobe is at home.

Have a great weekend!
