The Technology Game

The other day, Emily of Cupcakes and Cashmere posted about her most-used technology that helps run her business/blog and her life in general. I not-so-secretly love new technology, apps, and advances, and seeing as how I work in a field in which it’s important to stay organized and up-to-date on these things, here are a few of my favorites (both for my blog, my work, and my personal life):

iProcrastinate: I couldn’t function without this app on my MacBook Pro. It gives me a to-do list every day of what I need to do, organizes tasks based on color, and allows me to set up recurring tasks months in advance.

Viraltag: I use this exclusively for my work because I manage multiple clients’ Pinterest accounts. This is the best program for scheduling and cloning pins so we can maximize who sees what pins when.

Hootsuite: This one is probably a given, but I love this for scheduling both my clients’ social media and my own. It’s user-friendly and helps keep me organized throughout my day.

Afterlight: This is my favorite photo-editing app; I’ll sometimes use VSCOcam, but time and time again, I use Afterlight (and the Russ filter) to edit my pics.

Picasa: I don’t have the photo-editing skills to justify purchasing Photoshop, so the next best thing in my opinion is Google’s free photo-editing software. I’ve been using it for years to edit photos for my blog and for small projects for my clients.

Kate Spade Tech Wallpaper: I love brightening up my digital workspace with Kate Spade’s super colorful and printed wallpaper. They have a new one release every month!

Lauren Conrad Tech Wallpaper: Lauren taps creative geniuses in the graphic design field to create new monthly wallpapers. I always go back and forth between hers and Kate Spade’s. After all, why not make your digital workspace a place that makes you happy?

I’d love to know what your favorite technology apps and programs are! Let me know in the comments below.
