What a whirlwind of a weekend (no pun intended, especially if you see my hair and think I went on a teasing spree)! Saturday was spent running our garage sale, and Sunday was spent cleaning up from the garage sale and packing what didn’t get sold into the car to take it to Goodwill. I’m trying this new approach to my wardrobe–at least, it’s new to me: giving away everything I haven’t worn in a year. I like the feeling of freedom that comes with having less stuff. Here’s the breakdown:
Blazer: TJ Maxx (American Eagle)
Striped Tank: Saver’s (Banana Republic)
Shorts: Garage sale (Gap)
Wedges: Garage sale (Lauren Ralph Lauren)
Bag: Garage sale
Bracelets: Elder Beerman/Garage sale/Saver’s
To me, there is nothing more satisfying than knowing I put together an outfit in which the most I spent on one item was $15. The last time I wore this blazer was this past fall, and after reading through some August and September magazines and seeing the many preppy looks, I couldn’t help but gravitate toward it in my closet this morning. Plus, it gave me a chance to wear my new striped tank from Banana Republic via Saver’s … and I will always embrace opportunities to wear new, thrifted clothes.
