Hello, 60-degree weather! Hello, good excuses to wear jackets and pants and make runs to Starbucks for pumpkin spice lattes! I can’t even describe what a relief it is to walk outside and feel chilly for once. Now, if only the leaves would turn colors soon. Here’s the breakdown:
Button-Up Blouse: Garage sale (New York & Company)
Jacket: Garage sale (The Limited)
Oxfords: eBay (Steve Madden)
Necklaces: American Eagle
Earrings: Garage sale
I like to think of this as ladylike meets military. The Chanel-esque jacket, which is amazing, is paired with an olive green button-up blouse. Add in some pearls, oxfords, and a dog-tag-like necklace, and you’ve got the perfect mix of ladies’ wear and mens’ wear. I had quite the time attempting to get my sleeves to roll up over the jacket’s sleeves. I was a little worried about the jacket looking too rug-like, but I figured that if I roughed it up a little and if I added some color, it’d be okay.
Also, as you can see, I caved. As much as I’m ashamed to admit it (being the bargain shopper that I am), I splurged a little on these shoes. They were $30 on eBay. Pretty pricey for a college student, but I’d been dying for real oxfords all summer. Money well spent, if you ask me. Except they’re giving me a blister.
