If you follow me on Twitter, you know that I headed home yesterday for Easter break. Then why does it look like you’re still at school? I “cheated” and took these photos on Wednesday because I knew that traveling and being at home would make me want to be a bum for the next few days. So this is my attempt to be un-bum. Here’s the breakdown:
Neck-Tie Blouse: TJ Maxx
Pleated Skirt: Goodwill
Tote: Brahmin (c/o Vogue)
Ring: Banana Republic
I called this post “Working Girl” because I actually wore this to an interview for a possible job on campus next year. But I also called this post “Working Girl” because I love having an excuse to dress business-like, and that excuse is about to become a requirement this summer. My internship will require business attire, and unlike some of my blogging cohorts, this excites me!
Onto the outfit. Can you believe that the majority of it was thrifted? My favorite piece is definitely the pleated skirt, which takes on a life of its own when I walk. I kept things pretty simple and mute, save the pop of shiny blue.
Speaking of thrifted items, that’s what I’m going to be doing today! My mom and I are going to hit up a few of the local thrift stores and hopefully find some new deals. Did you know you can now subscribe to my blog through Feedburner? You know you want to. It will make your weekend that much better!
